2nd ESAL MAGAZINE - Higher Education in Latin America

ESAL Magazine – Higher Education in Latin America announces topics of higher education, based on high level scientific, academic and professional knowledge. The magazine is published semi-annually, with free distribution and open access. It is aimed at specialists and people interested in higher education. The main language of the journal is Spanish, but because it is a Latin American publication, and in an attempt to be a place of wider participation, some texts are also published in Portuguese and, exceptionally, in English. The evaluation of the articles is the responsibility of the editors, with the support of the Editorial Committee.

The idea of creating this publication appeared in the Meeting of Specialists in Higher Education, held in Cartagena and Barranquilla (Colombia) between March 4 and 6, 2016. Its publication is possible thanks to the support of the University of Norte (Barranquilla, Colombia), in partnership with the Center for Higher Education International (CIHE) of Boston College (United States), the Center for Studies in Policies and Practices in Education (CEPPE) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and SEMESP. The journal’s Editorial Committee is composed of Hans de Wit of Boston College; Andres Bernasconi of the Catholic University of Chile; Fábio Garcia Reis of SEMESP (Brazil); Liz Reisberg de Reisberg and Associates (United States); and Alberto Roa da Universidad del Norte. The editors are Iván Pacheco of Boston College and Anabella Martínez of Universidad del Norte.

ESAL seeks to contribute to the generation of dissemination channels for scientific production, thought and analysis of issues related to higher education in the region.
